  • Automatic review and, if needed, manual review
  • Transaction monitoring and reports to the UIF when the law requires

1Introduction

This policy explains how Swap Adipex Ai applies KYC (know your customer) and AML (anti-money-laundering) procedures and, where relevant, counter-terrorist-financing procedures. Its purpose is to confirm who uses the platform, reduce the risk of fraud and meet the duties Argentine rules place on those who provide services linked to digital assets.

The controls described here apply to every account, whatever the plan or amount. We may update them when rules or our risk assessment change, and the version in force is always published on this page.

2What KYC is

KYC stands for "know your customer". It is the process by which we identify each person who opens an account and check that the details they declare are true: full name, date of birth, ID document, address and contact details.

Without reliable identification we cannot be sure the account belongs to the person who says they own it, nor protect users from identity impersonation.

3What AML is

AML (anti-money-laundering) is the set of measures designed to stop financial services from being used to give a legal appearance to funds of illicit origin. It includes assessing each client's risk, watching how accounts behave and reporting suspicious transactions to the competent authority.

In Argentina that authority is the Financial Information Unit (UIF), and the duties of regulated entities are governed by Law 25,246 and its supplementary rules. We apply these principles in designing our internal procedures.

4Why we ask you to verify your identity

Verification serves to prevent fraud, protect your account from improper access, meet applicable legal requirements and reduce the platform's financial risk. It also lets us return funds to their rightful owner when we process a withdrawal.

It is not an optional step: without complete verification we may limit account functions, such as withdrawals, until your details are confirmed.

5Documents we need

We ask for a valid photo ID, such as the Argentine DNI (front and back) or a passport. To confirm your address, we accept a recent proof in your name, such as a utility bill or a bank statement from the last three months.

In some cases we also request a selfie with a liveness check, to confirm that the person doing the process is the holder of the document. We do not ask for additional documents unless an enhanced check is triggered, explained further down.

6Verification process

The process has five stages: account registration; sending your details and documents from the dashboard; automatic verification of the documents and data; manual review by the Compliance team when the automatic check is not enough; and confirmation of the result by email and in the dashboard.

If something is missing or an image is not readable, we tell you what to correct. Your personal manager can guide you on taking a good photo of the document or which proof to submit.

7Enhanced checks

When the client's risk profile, the amount or the type of transaction justify it, we apply enhanced due diligence (EDD). That may include asking for information about the source of funds, documents that support that source or an interview with the Compliance team.

An enhanced check does not mean we suspect you: it is a procedure foreseen for certain profiles and amounts, and it is resolved with the information you can provide.

8Verification timing

Most automatic verifications are resolved in minutes. When the Compliance team steps in, the usual time is 1 to 3 business days, although it can be longer if we need more documentation.

Total time depends on the quality of the images, on whether the data match each other, on the volume of requests and on whether an enhanced check is required. We will tell you the status of your case by email.

9Reasons for rejection or suspension

We may reject or suspend a verification if the document is expired or unreadable, if the data do not match what was declared, if there are signs of forgery, if the information requested is not provided or if other grounds set by applicable rules exist.

When a verification is rejected, we explain the reason to the extent the law allows and, where it applies, give you the option to submit new documents.

10Transaction monitoring

We review account transactions to spot patterns that do not fit the user's profile, such as unusual amounts, use of several payment accounts or deposits and withdrawals with no activity in between. Each account receives a risk assessment that is updated over time.

If we detect suspicious activity, we may limit specific account functions while we analyse it and, when the law requires, report it to the UIF without notifying you beforehand.

11User responsibility

You commit to provide accurate, current and authentic details and to submit genuine documents. You must also tell us if your address, your ID document or your contact details change.

Submitting false information or altered documents may lead to closing the account, holding funds as far as the law permits and reporting the case to the competent authorities.

12Data storage and protection

We keep verification information for the period required by anti-money-laundering rules, and we protect it with encryption, access control and audit logs. Only authorised Compliance staff and the providers involved in verification can see it.

The handling of this data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains your rights of access, correction and deletion under Law 25,326.

13Data transfers

To verify your identity we may share data with specialised KYC providers, with technology providers that host or process the information, with affiliated companies and, where applicable, with regulators and public bodies that require it by law.

We require each provider to apply confidentiality and security measures equivalent to ours and we limit what they receive to what their function needs.

14Regulatory compliance

Our procedures are designed taking into account Law 25,246 on concealment and laundering of assets, the UIF resolutions that apply to virtual asset service providers and the CNV rules for registering those providers.

The regulatory details and the basis of each body are on the licensing and regulation page.

15Contact and support

For questions about KYC or AML, write to [email protected]. The responsible department is Client Support & Compliance, which works during the hours shown on the contact page.

If your question is about the status of a verification, include the email you registered with and do not send documents by email: we receive them only through the secure dashboard.
